How West Virginia withholding works
State form: WV IT-104.
West Virginia annualizes wages, subtracts $2,000 per exemption claimed, and applies one of two schedules: the one-earner table (single, head of household, or MFJ with a nonemployed spouse who elected it on the IT-104) or the two-earner table — the default, with thresholds at 75% of the one-earner amounts. Rates reflect SB 392's 5% cut, retroactive to January 1, 2026.

What this page covers — and what it doesn't
State method only. A handful of West Virginia cities charge a flat weekly municipal service fee (usually $1–$5), not a percentage — not computed here.
