How Idaho withholding works

State form: ID W-4.

Idaho withholds 5.3% of the part of each check above its zero-rate threshold ($16,100 a year single or head of household; $32,200 married, prorated to the period), and rounds the result to whole dollars. Child-credit allowances are worth $0 in 2026 — the credit sunset — so allowance counts do not change the math this year.
